Shenzhen knocked it out of the park!

China delivered an exhilarating day of pump track racing on 9 March.

This first Red Bull Pump Track World Championship qualifier on mainland China delivered with a day of exhilarating pump track racing action. Located on a rooftop, the audience included local residents who enjoyed the event from surrounding apartment blocks and it made it even more special for riders and spectators on the track. This one of a kind Velosolutions Pump Track saw riders from all over China compete in the heart of Shenzhen for the honour of taking home the winner’s ticket to the final.

Nong Zheng a 27 year old MTB rider from the Guangxi province took the honours in the male category after coming back with a bang after a crash in the practise runs the day before the race. 

Hazel Wong convincingly took the win in the female race. This 25 year professional BMX rider from the Yunnan Province was the first rider from China to compete in the Asian Games in BMX which she won in 2011.

1st: Hazel Wong – BMX
2nd: Chen Yingyan – MTB

4th: Jiang Jinchang – MTB
