Aldaris
Pump
Track
is
a
place
with
a
special
historic
background.
It’s
located
in
Aldaris
Park,
a
location
that
has
experienced
many
changes
in
the
last
couple
of
centuries.
As
one
of
the
oldest
parks
in
Riga,
its
story
begins
in
the
19th
century
when
it
was
created
for
the
owner
of
the
beer
brewery
“Meža
pils”
(nowadays,
“Aldaris”)
as
a
private
garden
with
a
pond
and
artificial
castle
ruins.
Because
of
the
castle
ruins,
the
area’s
higher
altitude
makes
the
landscape
stand
out.
For
many
years,
the
park
was
a
popular
spot
for
cliff
climbers.
As
the
park
has
its
history
of
sports
atmosphere,
the
new
Aldaris
Pump
Track
naturally
continues
it
and
is
ready
to
welcome
all
enthusiasts.
The
track
itself
is
102
meters
long
and
has
a
total
area
of
1052
m2.
It
has
turns
in
both
directions
and
a
raised
asphalt
surface
area
that
can
be
used
for
more
creative
riding.
As
it
is
located
next
to
“Riga
Secondary
School
No.
28”,
it
is
a
perfect
addition
to
the
infrastructure,
providing
a
space
where
students
can
enjoy
their
time
during
their
sports
lessons
in
a
more
fun
way.
It
is
a
great
track
for
everyone,
no
matter
the
age
or
skill
level
of
the
rider.
