Description

B.A.R.C. is one of the Vashon Park District's most unique properties, and it is improving all the time with the help of a team of volunteer stewards. Vashon Park District hopes to turn B.A.R.C. into "THE" alternative park for all. The Master Plan tells most of the story with plans for additional indoor and outdoor features. That said, the Burton Adventure Recreation Center is impressive as it stands with an indoor inline skating facility, an outdoor skate bowl, a newly expanded and improved disc golf course, a community garden dubbed "Eden Reframed," and a NEW CEMENT PUMP TRACK (including a paved perimeter walking path, outdoor game tables, art pieces, and a climbing boulder)!

B.A.R.C. Hours: Indoor skate sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 15 skaters per session. Sessions are 45 minutes each if there are people waiting to skate. All indoor park users must sign waivers, and minors are required to have a parent sign the special waiver for minors and wear helmets. Once we have the minor waiver on file, skaters 13 and over will not require a parental signature at each visit.

Skaters 18 and over are not required to wear helmets, but both helmets and pads are advised for everyone. We have extras to borrow for anyone needing them at no cost.

Hours may vary due to classes, camps, and private events.

Please call ahead to ensure the indoor park is open: (206) 463-9602 or (206) 259-3934
